It can be done, but the Rt primary gets a lot more mileage out of the damage skills, and you don't really need the divine favor healing bonus.
So, doable, but the Rt primary is much, much more effective.
Also, Rez, I've found that I prefer a sword/axe with 10% half spell recharge + focus with 20% restoration recharge (crafted in Vasburg Armory) to my Kekphet's refuge. Naturally I'll be putting a 20% enchantment mod on the sword as soon as I can find one, but I find I can chain VwK very often with all the opportunity to halve the recharge, noticably faster than with the 20% half spell recharge from a staff alone - especially since spells cast while holding VwK do not get the enchantment bonus.
Also, I think you're maybe a little dogmatic with all the Radiant and Attunement insignias / runes, since as soon as you engage a mob the energy just flows in and you have no need for all the extra. Of course, I can't think of anything that would be more beneficial, but I certainly haven't needed all that extra energy.
Still, fantastic build, and I'm racking up the mods and tomes wherever I farm with it.

actually, if the monk takes SoA instead of RoD, and blessed aura instead of essence bond, and set the max hp as much as the user is comfortable with (i use 410 hp for 13 retrib dmg), it is totally doable with monk.
of course killing speed is about 2/3 of rt/mo, but it does offer effective mass aggro possiblities with a scythe and corner positions

This build is awesome. UW works great. I also find out that Issnur Isles was a very good place for this build.
Anyway I'm looking for a boss to farm for this build. I've tried the monk boss outside Blacktide Den but it was a bit slow and after 10 rounds with no good drops I guessed that it wasn't the best boss to farm. =/
Ty very much for the build!

Man this makes me want to make a ritualist.
Just a question tho.
How does spirit bond heal you for that 80 hp? With prot spirit, you take 33 dmg, max, and it says that you need to be hit for more than 60 to get healed.

It is very useful in the festival mission 'Darkness at Kaitan' where u can kill at least 35 nagas without running around too much... At least 2K + 1 gold per run. Hope the mission remains there forever, but I doubt that

With 15AL armor, you're hit with a lot more dmg. Its just that PS reduces it to 10% of your health. The healing from SB is calculated on the base dmg before PS is applied.

if you have tried it out, SoA does not reduce retribution dmg... not does it prevent essence bond from gaining energy from elemental/physical atks.
and because of the SoA reduce, ur not limited to 330 max hp, as ur hp will drop to about 1/2 to 2/3 before ur taking 0 dmg and dealing ur vwk dmg and ur ACTUAL retribution dmg.
and it is not mroe energy intensive, as most of the time u'd not even be using/renewing sb which is a 10 energy skill for every 2 secs, and only using SoA, which is a 5 energy skill for 10 secs, vengeful weapon is mroe than enough to heal you to full hp for the next SoA.
try it out before you say something doenst work plz
the thing with mo/rt is, it kills faster as you increase ur aggro group. mo/rt kills luxon sins slower than rt/mo if u take on 4 at a time, but if u compare the rt/mo take on the first group, then the second group, with mo/rt taking on both of them at the same time, it's about the same (u'll understand what i mean if you try it out)
or course, this is still a brilliant build for rit, just saying it monk works too with some mods

I am ready to kill my 55 and SS since this build can farm a varieties of mobs
Thanks Again, oink

annoyances at best with this build. Most of the enchants that keep you alive are fast casting and offer very little opportunity for interrupts. The damaging spells can cover each other, more or less.As long as you have either spirit bond of VwK available to use and uninterrupted then you're fine. At least this has been my experience while using it.

Great build...
Tried it on the Sins...that's a great place to get Assassin Tomes...
Trying it now on UW...big pain in the ass when they interrupt SB or Vwk...it's nice when you get Vwk up as it feels like a nice safety blanket for a bit..SB becomes less of a problem when you have it up...
still haven't really dealt with the dying nightmares yet...only Bladed Aatxes....they are enough of a pain.
edit: literally just after submitting this post I ran into my first dying nightmare...scrambled to behind the spirits...and....I'm Alive...dying nightmare is dead...Yay! Not so much a problem as long as you can get the spirits to body block. Looking at these Aatxes close up makes me want to get one as a pet . Now I have a goal for my farming
I'll get it just like every other UW build I've used so far...just takes time and practice practice practice.

I was going to mention that quest, but I wanted to kinda keep it to myself :P I didn't see to many people going in and out there, so I figured there was a few that actually farmed it.
I have been farming there with my Rit since the first day of festival. When I got that quest and was about to finish it...once I seen all the naga right outta town, I thought of farming it right off. I got a sh*t load of gold weapons and items from there. I once got three req 9 gold Sunqua Blades in one 8 min. run. Since then I've got around 20 gold sunquas, and about 30-40 other golds just from farming there. I do hope that it stays, and not too many people know about it So it dont get removed... I'm sure most have completed the quest anyways. Sux for them

I haven't used 55 Monk and 55 Nec in alooooong time. Since HM came out I've used nothing but my 105hp builds and then now the 330hp. I almost got 3 mill experience just from farming alone. Thats just farming here and there, not going hardcore or anything. And my Rit is only 6 months old... Well you do get alot of exp solo farming in HM. But that tell's ya I don't use Monk or Necro at all, maybe once in a great while... only to farm places my ritualist don't have yet.

Blades Aatxes go down the quickest out of the UW run. But only in Hard Mode of course. Only ones you have to worry about are the Grasping and their interrupts, especially getting Dazed by them. I have done the first three UW runs with the build with success... and that was with using Reversal of Damage. I have been meaning to try Mending Touch instead of RoD for removing Dazed with the Graspings. Just have to learn how to time it so you don't get interrupted. And farming UW with this build does take some experience... it can be difficult in different situations. Just make sure you read the guide for UW runs thoroughly.

You be best just to go usual SoJ Spirit Bonder with Monk without SoA...still works but only on same sized groups as my build. But Mo/Rt wouldn't be worth using... SoJ Spirit Bonder will do more damage. And if you wanna take on bigger mobs, either use my 105hp Rt/Mo builds, or just use usual 55/105hp Monk with SoJ. And massive aggro with VwK is not so good against alot of melee enemies, they will keep running away and healing themselves. 55/105hp Monk is best to take on massive groups of enemies, since you can attack one to keep him from running and eventually die... and do that until whole group is dead. And Spirit Bond is definately not good for massive mobs anyways. If there are 10 or more enemies, Spirit Bond will end within 2 seconds.
Get yourself a Ritualist and you will be all set to go Mo/Rt is not worth it, u will do less damage, and use up more energy.

It will do alittle damage when SoA is adding up and reducing 5 damage each time...but once it hits 0 for about 4-5 seconds, it won't allow Retribution to reflect barely any damage at all. And with any more than 290hp, VwK will not negate it with a monk...there for you gotta use Spirit Bond more than a Rit. Which does lead to using up more energy, and I didn't mean it would drain your energy. I
I mean if you want to use Mo/Rt you could, but I recommend just getting a Ritualist to actually experience what the build can do.

I notice flawls in your posts, aswell you seem to not take advice from others...I suggest you actually try things out before you claim something as a fact
Retribution keeps dealing it's orginal damage, even when SoA is on.
If you're going only for the gold items/ecto's whatevah, mass aggro (and thus not 330 HP rit) are your best bet. Like suggested, SB+SoA -> mass aggro. Earth eles too. there are lots of ways.
If you decide to run 600 HP on a monk, you have a constant 20 damage with retribution (at high enough smiting). Add SoJ (or even better spitefull spirit?, but i don't know how the attribute alter would allow max curses, same if you run vwk) and you deal pretty damn good damage. More than this anyway (so don't tell me that a rit/mo is faster than a monk/necro or monk/rt, in the end rt/mo will loose).
Maybe this 1 is faster for small groups (faster recharge on vwk than on soj) but who is farming small groups nowadays? Ye, white junk lovers . But farming small groups is not that profitable if you look at the rare's rate over time.
Than again, we're farming with vwk in this thread so not gonna compare them. I like vwk the most when farming kappa in masses. Life stealing ignores their skill which reduces dmg (don't recall name now, something like turtle shell).
